Outcomes | Results
Our evaluation revealed that the Grade 6 YMCA Membership Program provided significant benefits for youth, including increased physical activity, reduced screen time, social connections, confidence building, independence, and improved overall well-being. It was identified as a meaningful response to the social isolation, sedentary behaviors, and mental-emotional stress experienced by youth during the pandemic. Additionally, the evaluation highlighted the importance of raising awareness of opportunities for alumni and creating affordable pathways for them to stay connected to the YMCA beyond the Grade 6 year.
